Q:
What does "Breaker" mean?
A:
If you hear a truck driver say "Breaker" on their CB radio, it's just another way to say "Request to use a channel." Breaker both refers to the person "breaking" and the phrase itself, which is often followed by the channel number. For example: "Breaker 19"
