"Skip"
Q:
What does "Skip" mean?
A:
If you hear a truck driver say "Skip" on their CB radio, it's just another way to say "Long-distance radio signal." Skip occurs when atmospheric conditions allow radio signals to travel much farther than normal by reflecting back to Earth off of the ionosphere.
